While we were in Seattle, we learned about the devastating fires in British Columbia, Canada. Many of the locals had pointed out the unusually hazy skies and poor visibility in the city, they also warned us that the farther north we would go, the worse it would get. Regardless we woke up, packed up the trailer and headed north towards Vancouver, Canada. After a few hours driving we decided to stop at a state park on the coast and spend the afternoon at the beach. As we drove into and around the park we realized that the haze from the fires was BAD, visibility was really poor and we began to debate our decision about venturing on. It was tough, Vancouver has been top of my list to visit for a long time and I was adamant that we would still go. Sadly, deep down I knew it wouldn’t be as good a visit as I wanted it to be and after many conversation going back and forth, we decided that Vancouver just wasn’t meant to be this trip :( So, when plans and nature fail you, what do you do…..Casino anyone?!
